CORA

CORA’s proprietary, web-based data collection & reporting software processes de-identified clinical information in key areas specific to chronic kidney disease, including adequacy, anemia, bone disease, nutrition, and vascular access information.  Each individual dialysis provider’s laboratory, medication, morbidity, and demographic data is then processed daily for reporting according to CORA’s Data Validation & Processing Rules

Data Submission Process:  Independent dialysis providers can manually submit data by uploading datasets on-line or via automated data transmissions from existing laboratory and dialysis software providers.  To learn about your options for automating data submission, please complete a CORA User Profile
and fax to 631-789-6370.

Data Validation & Processing Rules: CORA has a set of business rules whereby independent provider data is validated upon submission, processed each night and available for reporting purposes the next day.  If any validation errors occur during processing, the CORA user is notified of the specific error(s) which can be resolved either by resubmitting data or editing on-line.

CORA Privacy and Security: CORA uses industrial strength 128-bit SSL encryption from Verisign and technologies like IBM WebSphere Portal and Microsoft’s Active Directory to ensure that all customers have passwords that meet a secure complexity standard.  This portal technology ensures that the information that each customer is presented with will be privately tailored to meet their specific needs.

Please see CORA's Privacy & Security Statement for more detailed information related to data privacy, security, and disaster recovery.
